April Fools Day – Celebrity and Media Pranks
April 1, 2011 better known April Fools Day is the day when you let the child inside you come out briefly and perform pranks which in-spite of their viciousness are actually appreciated by the affected parties. If you think you’re a creative and fun loving person then there is no better time to showcase it than on April 1 each year. Celebrities and media professionals are known for their creativity thus it comes as no surprise that more often than not they lead the way with their wacky tricks and stories.
The trick with pulling of a successful prank is to showcase something that seems highly improbable but is possible. Lets have a look at some successful pranks like when Nicole Ritchie and Khloe Kardashian pranked Kim Karadashian by hacking into her twitter account and tweeting spicy stuff such as
Sometimes I think I am a lesbian because HOT DAMN I think Nicole Richie is fffooooiiinnneee!
By the way @Joelmadden might be the hottest man alive. I loveeeeee a good daddy
Eminem and Rihanna to perform at ICC Cricket World Cup Final
The Times of India ran a story today stating that apart from seeing Bollywood stars, industrialists, cricket greats, and Page 3 socialities the Wankhede stadium will also ready itself for two unexpected guests from the west. As per the report, Eminem and Rihanna were scheduled to start of the match by performing an english version of De Ghuma Ke, the official world cup anthem.
Sounds quite unbelievable but then given the amount of money this tournament has made not entirely impossible.
Karan Johar to get married
The other prank of the day involved unconfirmed news reports that Bollywood filmmaker and producer Karan Johar who is known to be ambiguous about his sexual preferences was going to get married. The report indicated that the name of the bride was Vandana Melwani who is based in New York thereby trying to connect the director’s frequent visits to the city.
Vandana is all over Google today with most of the stories having been published in the past few days. On Facebook there is someone with the same name but she appears to be too young for Mr.Johar and certainly does not live in New York.
There was also this piece in the Independent which certainly seemed to give the prank away with the headline “Portugal ‘sells’ Ronaldo to Spain in €160m deal on national debt“.
Have you come across any similar noteworthy pranks. If so, then do share them with us.
